PNC Prospects Camp cancelled

Jul. 19, 2011 - The Baseball BC High Performance Committee would like to inform all coaches and players that the Prospects Camp that was scheduled to begin tomorrow has been cancelled.   We are making this decision based on the incredibly poor weather that we have experienced over the past few weeks and the continued forecast for rain this week.   We understand that there are a large number of rainout makeup games to be played in both divisions of the PBL and also in BC Minors schedules.   In addition, we are aware that some of the camp attendees have played a number of games in the last few days as the teams try to complete their schedules.   Both of these issues played a large part in our decision to cancel the camp. All players that have registered will be given a full refund. The Committee will be developing a modified plan to deal with the selection of the players for the PNC teams over the next few days.    In addition, the Committee is considering scheduling a shortened Prospects Camp later in the summer to be used for the selection of the two teams that will be playing in the Northwest Futures Tournament in September.    Thanks for your understanding of this situation.  more...
